Gas Consumers' Council As principal consultant undertook a strategic review, visiting each of the 12, then, autonomous regional offices around England, Scotland and Wales, completing a statement of user requirements and supplier selection, contract negotiations, project management and user acceptance testing for the Gas Consumer' Council, a statutory body representing the interests of gas consumers in Great Britain. The 12 offices were merged into one statutory body, at the same time as British Gas was privatised. The main requirement arising from the strategy was a bespoke regional and consolidated complaints' registration database. Day-to-day control remained at the regional offices with transfer of summary data to the HQ for consolidation and statistical analysis. Additional requirements included word processing, spreadsheet and accounting systems.
